Billy Elliot is a heart-warming tale of a young boy’s dream to become a ballet dancer in a triumph over adversity. Brought up in a working class mining family in the north, Billy must overcome the prejudices of his family and friends to achieve his dream. Billy Elliot the movie, released in October 2000, was a smash hit and nominated for 3 Oscars and 13 Baftas.

This brilliant stage adaptation is by the same team as the movie written by Lee Hall, directed by Stephen Daldry, and choreographed by Peter Darling. Music legend Elton John provides the score making Billy Elliot a superb show well worth a visit.
